The San Geronimo Valley Emergency Readiness Group is a grassroots volunteer-driven initiative designed to help residents in the Valley to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. We encourage a neighbors-helping-neighbors approach by providing resources, guidance, training and by conducting periodic disaster drills.
We are asking for your support in helping our volunteers to be prepared with the supplies needed for the VERG to run efficiently. All donations go directly to purchase of supplies like these:
- $60 purchases 2 VERG Network radios, which provide communication when internet and cell services are down.
- $175 Provides a 1-person Emergency Kit for an elderly resident and includes supplies for 7 days.
- $250 provides 10 High Visibility Safety Vests.
- $500 provides a 518Wh Portable Power Station for use during PSPS and Disasters.
- $850 funds VERG operating expenses for 90 days.
- $1,500 provides a much-needed upgrade of our Incident Command radios and our VERG Network base station.
